This particular piece caught my eye as I was wandering around a Goodwill Thrift Store. Something about it said to me, "buy me!" It was on sale for 25. When I got to the register the girl there said that blue means half price, so it was mine for 12.50. It wasn't until I looked at the back that I found the Certificate of Authenticity. This piece is a limited edition from 1993. Dewey had Parkinson's disease but continued to paint. This is from that period. Sadly he died of his disease in 2008. The piece also comes with a bunch of clipping about the artist and how he worked through his disease, the Renoir of the 90's. His paintings are hanging in the White House. At last look his signed and numbered prints are selling for 500. on ebay and about 800. in the galleries. It was a good bit of artsniping I must say!
